The main reason why DDOS attacks are difficult to defend is that there are too many vulnerabilities and attack methods that can be exploited. In the OSI seven-layer network model used in the network data transmission process, basically each layer has protocols that can be exploited by DDOS attacks. According to the different network levels of the protocols used for DDOS attacks, this paper summarizes the currently known DDOS attack types and their defense measures as shown in Table 1-3.
