大学の経理課に勤めるアラサーの美野里（みのり）は、失恋の傷を抱えながら日々〈婚活〉に励んできたが、ひょんなことから「就活支援室」に異動し、毎日が一変する。そこで出会ったのは、型破りな就活支援のプロ集団「シューカツ屋」たちだった。「落ちこぼれを1人も出さない」ことをポリシーに、内定を得られない学生たちにお節介なほどの支援を続けていく。カウンセリングで才能を見抜き、バスツアーまで行い企業とマッチング。内定が決まればくす玉で祝う熱さがウリだ。そんな職場に、うんざりしていた美野里も、癖のある室長に背中を押され、やがて心底、学生の応援にのめり込んでいく。その最大の壁は、就活自体を諦めてしまった学生・植田の再起だった。「あなたらしい生き方を探そう」と奔走する美野里は、いつしか自分自身の生き方をも見直し、大きな勝負に出る。
