《谁是真英雄》剧情梗概：
菊香是个很有追求的农村姑娘，但命运不佳，她高中毕业后被推荐上大学，却不知被何人顶替。她泼辣能干，在娘家里里外外是一把手，却受到未过门嫂子的排挤。为了不影响哥哥结婚，她当着乡亲们的面宣称，十五天内把自己嫁出去。人家让她相李大柱，可她觉得大柱太老实甚至近乎窝囊，一眼就看上了精明强干的李二柱。在后来的是是非非中，大柱越发显示出宽厚、诚恳、踏实的本性，而二柱的狭隘、浮躁证实了菊香当初相亲还是看走了眼。在菊香身上，既有农村妇女勤劳朴实的传统美德，又有对新生活的追求和渴盼。她结婚后，不满足于家庭贫穷的现状，拼命地干活，绞尽脑汁持家，想让一家人过上好日子，但终究未果，由她“进门当家”引发了一系列家庭矛盾，使她受到种种磨难。
