In 1997, the International Colorectal Cancer Working Group (IWGCRC) recommended MDT diagnosis and treatment mode for colorectal cancer patients in all European and American hospitals, and strictly stipulated the composition of MDT. In 2000, the Commonwealth Government emphasized the importance of MDT in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients in the National Cancer Plan, pointing out that the close cooperation of MDT members can increase the survival rate of patients.
