15年前江源被合作伙伴林正华陷害入狱，为避免拖累妻子谭小慧，江源毅然与其离婚，谭小慧只得寄身于江源战友李国强家苦心等待江源出狱。江源出狱后收购了李国强濒临破产的海天药业，决定通过商业竞争搞垮林正华的华新药业，实现复仇计划。在得知自己患了脑癌并只有八个月生命的江源，隐瞒了病情毅然离开妻子女儿，却使得妻子发病自杀，女儿与之反目。李国强得知真相后，逼他入院接受治疗，江源坚决拒绝之下，李国强开始努力照料江源，不遗余力的帮助江源。经历资金短缺、厂商毁约等一些列波折后，江源终于收购了华新。李国强因操劳过度心脏病发，也和江源一起住进了医院。两个自知命不久矣的老人作出一个令人震惊的决定：离开医院，追求最后的自由。两个老人，结伴而行，像年华从未老去一样，像青春从未离开一样，行走在路上 。
故事的主人翁小和尚是个长相帅气，热爱搏击的男孩，他重感情、讲义气，对青春靓丽的舞蹈班班花晴儿一见倾心。晴儿也被小和尚嫉恶如仇的性格所打动，两人日渐产生好感。没想遇上晴儿的好朋友朵朵因家事被坏人绑架。为了救朵朵，小和尚四人与老万一帮恶势力进行了殊死搏斗，在打斗中，小胖无意将亮子打残而小和山知道事情已闹大，自己一人扛起入狱。由于表现良好，小和尚被提前释放。出狱后的和尚看着身边的人和事沧海桑田，举目落泪，为自己的年少无知悔恨不已。
抗战初期，共产党安排外科医生钱之风通过“假叛变”潜入汪伪情报机关。成功打入后，钱之风一面与敌人周旋获取情报；一面与同样潜伏于汪伪中的神秘女子韩彩衣斗智斗勇。阴差阳错之下，两人不得不在敌人眼皮底下假扮夫妻，钱之风也同时发现了韩彩衣的真面目――为重庆工作，却身不由己。既然各为其主，勾心斗角在所难免；然而同为中国人，面对日伪又必须携手并进。一系列惊心动魄的任务，一段刻骨难忘的旅程，一个个动情动心的瞬间，钱之风终于以自己的坚定信仰和无私之爱赢得了韩彩衣的理解和支持。韩彩衣追随钱之风加入了共产党，在此过程中，两人也成为了真正心灵相通的搭档与伴侣。
赤脚大仙因下凡寻找宝物如意，从原来的恃才傲物、心胸狭隘，逐渐成长为善良果敢、心怀大爱的人。赤脚大仙在人间结识了多次出手相救最后自我牺牲的村民翩翩，从她的身上感受到了人性的真善美。从团结互助、挺身而出保护“青鸟”的吉祥村村民中体会到了知恩图报的世间真情。在得知众仙对赤脚大仙私自下凡之事不计前嫌的态度时，赤脚大仙才幡然醒悟。最后赤脚大仙放弃了回归天庭的机会，选择云游人间，以四处行善，进一步鼓励人们在危难之际要敢于挺身而出，团结互助、坚定信念、勇于追求，用善良呼唤正义......
