电视剧《邓小平》由著名导演吴子牛执导，主要从1976年毛泽东同志逝世27天后开始写起，直到1984年10月1日，邓小平在天安门城楼上检阅国庆游行队伍，游行队伍中的大学生自发地打出代表亿万人民心声的横幅“小平，您好！”为止，期间历经粉碎“四人帮”，结束十年动乱，进行拨乱反正，国家走上改革开放的道路，对中国具有划时代意义。这部戏也是作为邓小平同志诞辰110周年的献礼大片。
