Netflix宣布正式续订史蒂夫·卡瑞尔领衔主演的喜剧剧集《太空部队》第二季！史蒂夫·卡瑞尔、约翰·马尔科维奇、本·施瓦茨、陶尼·纽萨姆、戴安娜·西尔弗斯等首季卡司回归出演，欧阳万成回归担任第二季编剧。首季讲述马克·R·奈尔德(卡瑞尔饰)是一位美国四星上将，同时也是一名成熟的飞行员，他梦想能管理空军，但却发现自己被任命领导新成立的美国武装部队第六支部——太空部队。第二季将于2021年加拿大温哥华开拍。
此剧采用一剧上下两部的形式，上半部剧的主题是＇贝塔项目＇，讲述2017年外星人题材的奇幻悬疑故事。
