保生大帝俗称“大道公”“吴真人”，是中国传统神话传说中保佑健康平安的医神，在海峡两岸及全球华人中拥有众多的信众，仅台湾就有数百座保生大帝庙宇，近两千万信众。每逢岁时年节或祭拜吉日，一座座保生大帝的宫庙总是人员辐辏，信众们燃上一炷香，希望保生大帝保佑家人平安，子女向学，无病无灾。
