本片围绕时尚品牌古琦（Gucci）的第三代接班人毛里奇奥·古琦（Maurizio Gucci）的故事展开，毛里奇奥是古琦创建人古琦欧·古琦（Guccio Gucci）的孙子，1995年被一个西西里岛的年轻人枪杀于米兰办公室的楼梯上，他的妻子Patrizia Gucci因策划杀夫一案而被判入狱29年。
