周家的养女周樱桃（海陆 饰）不仅天性善良，而且拥有极高的服装设计天赋，成年后的周樱桃前去面试顶尖时装公司白狐企业，却因为妹妹周玉蕙（唐瑞宏 饰）的暗中陷害背上了抄袭的骂名，不仅没能进入白狐企业，还被业界封杀，又因误会与白狐的设计部总监白念宇（黄少祺 饰）成为一对冤家，但樱桃青梅竹马的杨东义（宗峰岩 饰）却因为一次见义勇为误打误撞的成为了念宇的第一个至交好友。执着的樱桃帮助经营困难的林婆婆东山再起，她的设计天赋也因此得到了念宇的爷爷——白狐企业的董事长白长合的赏识，被破格招入白狐。此后樱桃与念宇强强联合，为白狐立下了汗马功劳。但周玉蕙自小就喜欢白念宇，出于忌妒，她多次暗中陷害樱桃，但都在杨东义与白念宇的保护下化险为夷，樱桃与念宇两人的关系也在不知不觉中渐渐升温。正当念宇要接手继承家族事业时，突然得知樱桃竟是白长合的亲孙女，虽然证明了樱桃与念宇并无血缘关系，但念宇的亲生父亲——徐永泰总经理竟然就是设计杀害樱桃父母的幕后黑手，父辈的恩怨纠葛使得两人的爱情步履维艰。被赶出白狐的徐永泰暗中利用念宇，试图重夺白狐企业，却樱桃的生父白宇天以雷霆手段镇压，念宇也因此被白宇天处处刁难。不死心的徐永泰联合樱桃养父家的女儿周玉蕙，以杨东义妹妹的死陷害樱桃，迫使樱桃入狱、杨东义与义父白宇天反目，却不知白宇天与杨东义暗中搜集了大量徐永泰的犯罪证据。徐永泰被白宇天彻底扳倒，周玉蕙因涉嫌谋杀杨东义妹妹珊珊被警察抓捕归案。在樱桃与念宇的努力下，一败涂地的徐永泰面对樱桃生母咏荷的原谅，愧疚不已，决定痛改前非。诸多磨难过后，樱桃终于成为一名著名的服装设计师，念宇与樱桃的感情也越发深厚，两人在亲生父母的见证下终成眷属。
